Stardew Valley Bobber Machine Database
Bobber Machine records for Stardew Valley 1.6 Fish Shop cosmetics, bobber style unlocks, randomized bobbers, fishing line colors, 39 standard styles, 2 new fish per unlock, 76 fish completion, Lucky Purple Shorts bonus style, Fish Collection routing, and readable fishing setups.
Fish Shop Machine Location
Location / Fish Shop, right-side machine, Spring 2 access, and Willy shop routing
The Bobber Machine sits on the right side of Willy's Fish Shop. Use it whenever a beach errand, Fish Shop purchase, crab pot route, rod upgrade, or Ginger Island boat stop already brings the day through the docks.
Bobber Style Unlock Progression
Collection / Default style, 2 new fish per style, 39 total styles, and 76 fish completion
Only the default bobber is available at the start. A new style unlocks each time the player catches 2 new fish, and all 39 styles require 76 different fish.
Randomized Bobbers and Line Colors
Cosmetic / Specific style selection, randomized option, and fishing line color changes
The machine can select a specific bobber style or a randomized option that chooses an unlocked style for each cast. Bobbers can also change the color of the fishing line.
Lucky Purple Shorts Bonus Style
Secret / Bonus bobber style from Lucky Purple Shorts in a fishing rod tackle slot
An additional bobber style can be unlocked by putting Lucky Purple Shorts in the tackle slot of a fishing rod, making the machine a small Secret Notes and Mayor's Manor overlap for collectors.
Fish Collection Route
Route / 76 different fish, Fish Finder, Magic Bait, Targeted Bait, and Advanced Iridium Rod
Bobber Machine completion is a fishing collection route in disguise. Use fish finder tools, Magic Bait, Targeted Bait, seasonal hubs, mine fish, island fish, and Advanced Iridium Rod loadouts to push toward 76 different fish.
Visual and Accessibility Planning
Comfort / Readable bobbers, water color, fishing line color, screenshots, and long-session comfort
Bobber Machine choices are cosmetic, but they still affect readability. For long fishing sessions, pick a bobber and line color that stands out against the water and avoids confusing treasure, bubbles, and casting targets.
