Stardew Valley Bookseller Database
Bookseller records for visit dates, location route, shop stock, purchase priorities, duplicate book trades, Year 3 cleanup, and book economy planning.
Bookseller Visit Schedule
Schedule / Two random visits per season
The Bookseller appears twice each season on random dates from that season's possible pool. Check the calendar balloon early, then reserve cash before the visit day arrives.
Bookseller Location Route
Location / Above JojaMart or Movie Theater
The Bookseller sets up above JojaMart or the Movie Theater across the town river. Combine the trip with calendar checks, town errands, museum routing, mountain path errands, or the Bookseller-area Prize Ticket pickup.
Bookseller Shop Stock
Stock / Random books, power books, and skill books
Each Bookseller visit offers a random assortment of books. Skill books can supply XP, while Power Books unlock permanent powers, route speed, collection help, fishing support, combat value, or late-game quality of life.
Bookseller Purchase Priority
Planning / Gold routing and route-changing books
Books can be expensive, so the best purchases are the ones that improve every future day. Movement books, Price Catalogue, Horse: The Book, Dwarvish Safety Manual, and strong fishing or combat books can outperform short-term upgrades.
Book Trade-In Route
Trading / Duplicate books and exchange value
The Bookseller can accept book trades, which turns duplicate finds into practical route resources. Read first copies when they unlock powers, then decide whether a duplicate is better reread, gifted, saved, or traded.
Year 3 Book Planning
Late Game / Later stock and completion cleanup
Some books become easier to route later through Bookseller stock and other late-game sources. By Year 3, use the shop to clean up missing powers, Well-Read progress, and duplicate conversion choices.
