Unlock and Spawn Rules
Mechanics / 4 days plus 3 fish, 15-day fallback, before 11 PM, and 1% bubble upgrades
Fish Frenzies can start before 11 PM after either 4 days plus 3 caught fish or 15 total days. When ordinary bubbles spawn in eligible areas, there is a 1% chance for that bubble spot to become a frenzy.
Eligible Location Route
Locations / The Beach, Cindersap Forest, Pelican Town, and The Mountain
Fish Frenzies can happen at The Beach, Cindersap Forest, Pelican Town, or The Mountain. Keep warp options, rods, bait, and empty inventory ready when daily fishing routes already pass through those four zones.
Frenzy Effects and Catch Pool
Effects / Half bite time, one specific fish, no legendary or catchable item targets
A Fish Frenzy behaves like an aggressive mix of bubbles and targeted selection: bite time is cut in half and the frenzy fish becomes the only fish caught in that bubble spot. Legendary fish, Legendary Fish II, and catchable items are not selected as the frenzy target.
Duration and End Checks
Timing / 90-minute minimum, 10% end chance, and rising 10-minute checks
Fish Frenzies last at least 90 in-game minutes. After that, the event can end at each 10-minute check, starting at 10% and rising by 0.56 percentage points per check.
Bait and Tackle Response
Loadout / Targeted Bait, Deluxe Bait, Dressed Spinner, Cork Bobber, and Advanced Iridium Rod
A frenzy already narrows the catch pool, so the best response is usually bite speed, control, quality, or multi-catch value. Advanced Iridium Rod setups can combine two tackles while Bait Maker routes can preserve copies for future targeted bait.
Profit and Routing Priority
Strategy / Fish Smoker, ponds, bundles, quests, festivals, and route value
Not every Fish Frenzy deserves a full day pivot. The best responses turn the named fish into smoked value, Fish Pond starts, bundle saves, quest stockpiles, targeted bait, or festival momentum.
