Unlock and Core Rules
Rules / Farming Mastery, one-time use, and doubled output
Golden Animal Crackers can appear only after Farming Mastery is claimed. Give one to an eligible animal or throw one into a Fish Pond to permanently double normal output, but the effect does not speed up production.
Source Farming Route
Sources / Fishing, Skull Cavern, boxes, artifact spots, trees, containers, monsters
After Farming Mastery, Golden Animal Crackers can come from fishing treasure, Skull Cavern treasure rooms, Golden Mystery Boxes, artifact spots, trees, crates, barrels, and monsters. Pick sources that already match your current route.
Animal Priority List
Animals / High-value non-pig animals and baby animals
Use crackers on animals whose doubled output is hard to replace: Ostriches, Rabbits, Dinosaurs, Golden Chickens, Goats, Ducks, Sheep, or high-friendship barn and coop routes. Baby animals can receive one and produce doubled output when mature.
Fish Pond Priority List
Fish Ponds / Roe, rare pond produce, and pond permanence
A Golden Animal Cracker can be thrown into a Fish Pond to double normal output. Strong targets include Sturgeon for Caviar, Lava Eel, Blobfish, Stingray, Super Cucumber, Squid, Midnight Squid, and other ponds with valuable repeat produce.
Loss Prevention Rules
Safety / Sold animals, demolished ponds, emptied ponds, and irreversible choices
Golden Animal Cracker choices are sticky. Selling an animal removes the cracker permanently, and demolishing or emptying a Fish Pond can remove the benefit, so treat every use as a long-term commitment.
Animal Economy Planning
Economy / Artisan processing, rare produce, mastery timing, and layout
Golden Animal Crackers are strongest when the doubled output flows into existing processors: Mayonnaise Machines, Cheese Presses, Looms, Oil Makers, Preserves Jars, or pond collection routes. Plan machines and storage before using rare crackers.
