Unlock Frog Cave
Unlock / Island West and repaired Island Farmhouse
The Gourmand Frog cave appears in the northeast corner of the Island Farm after the parrots repair the Island Farmhouse. Open Island West first, repair the farmhouse for 20 Golden Walnuts, then use the cave as a 15-walnut crop puzzle route.
Melon First
Crop / First request, mature and unharvested Melon
The first Gourmand Frog crop is Melon. Grow at least one Melon on the Island Farm until mature, leave it in the ground, then talk to the frog and show the crop before harvesting.
Wheat Second
Crop / Second request, mature and unharvested Wheat
After Melon is accepted, the frog asks for Wheat. Wheat can be grown on the Island Farm regardless of mainland season, but it still must be mature and unharvested when the frog checks it.
Garlic Third
Crop / Third request, mature and unharvested Garlic
Garlic is the third and final Gourmand Frog crop. Grow it on the Island Farm, leave it unharvested, and show it after Melon and Wheat to finish the 15 Golden Walnut chain.
Plant All At Once
Planning / All crops can be planted together but presented in order
Melon, Wheat, and Garlic may be planted at any time, together or separately. The restriction is presentation order: the frog must see Melon first, Wheat second, and Garlic third, one crop reward at a time.
Unharvested Crop Rule
Troubleshooting / The frog checks standing mature crops, not inventory items
A common failure is bringing the crop in inventory or harvesting it too early. The Gourmand Frog wants to see a mature crop still growing on the Island Farm, so inventory Melon, Wheat, or Garlic will not satisfy the check.

Each accepted Gourmand Frog crop gives 5 Golden Walnuts, for 15 total across Melon, Wheat, and Garlic. Treat this as one of the highest-value Island West puzzle clusters after farmhouse repair.
