Mushroom Log Unlock and Crafting

Unlock / Foraging Level 4, Hardwood, and Moss

Mushroom Logs unlock at Foraging Level 4 and turn Hardwood plus Moss into a repeat mushroom source. Build them after Green Rain or Moss stockpiles are stable, then place them near non-fruit trees.

Harvest Rhythm

Timing / 4-day production and rainy-day speedup

Mushroom Logs produce every 4 days, and rainy days reduce the wait by one day. They work in all seasons and can produce in the Desert and on Ginger Island.

7x7 Tree Radius

Layout / Nearby non-fruit trees and 5-mushroom cap

Mushroom Log quantity scales with non-fruit trees in a 7x7 square around the log, including immature trees. Around 10 nearby trees is enough to always reach the maximum quantity of 5 mushrooms.

Tree Type Planning

Mushroom Type / Oak Morels, Pine Chanterelles, Maple red or purple, Mystic purple

Nearby mature trees influence mushroom type: Oak supports Morels, Pine supports Chanterelles, Maple leans Red Mushrooms with a smaller Purple chance, and Mystic Trees push Purple Mushrooms.

Quality and Moss Scaling

Quality / Mossy trees, quality upgrades, and Botanist exception

Mushroom quality is based on nearby trees and mossy trees, not the Botanist profession. Mossy trees count more heavily, so a mature mossy grove improves output quality over time.

Dehydrator Route

Artisan / Dried mushrooms and low-touch processing

Mushroom Logs feed Dehydrator routes once the farm produces more mushrooms than cooking, gifts, bundles, or Raccoon requests need. Group logs, chests, and Dehydrators into one simple loop.
