Privacy Policy

When you create an anniversary, Nian Nian stores its name, date, repeat setting, notes, icon, and color on your device. The App uses this information to display countdowns, sort anniversaries, and generate widget content. We do not receive this content on our servers.

The App and its widgets access this information through an on-device App Group container provided by Apple. Access is limited to Nian Nian and its extensions that are configured for the same App Group.

• No account, name, phone number, or email address is required to use the App.
• Your anniversaries, notes, and in-app activity are not uploaded to us.
• The App does not contain advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs.
• The App does not request access to contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone, or calendars.
• We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

Widgets read saved anniversaries from the shared on-device container to display names, dates, and remaining days. Adding a widget does not send this content to us.

Depending on your device settings, local App data may be included in an iCloud or computer backup. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by Nian Nian.

Apple may process App Store downloads, updates, purchases, crash reports, performance information, and diagnostics under your Apple settings and Apple's privacy policy. Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store statistics or diagnostic reports. These reports are separate from the anniversary content stored by the App.

When you visit this policy page, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may automatically process limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested URL, request time, and security diagnostics to deliver and protect the page. This page does not load Google Analytics or advertising scripts.

If you email us, we receive the address you use and the information you include in your message. Please do not send anniversary details or other sensitive information. We use support messages only to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain appropriate business records.

Anniversary content remains on your device until you edit or delete it. You can delete individual anniversaries at any time in the App. Removing the App will generally remove its local data from the device; copies already included in a device backup must be managed through Apple's backup controls.

We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve issues, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations. We do not maintain a separate database of raw visits to this policy page; Cloudflare may retain technical logs under its own policies and service configuration.

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information, and to appeal certain decisions. You may exercise a request by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Because the App does not send us your anniversaries, we cannot access, export, correct, or delete that on-device content for you.

Nian Nian is not directed to children under 13, and the App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us by email, please contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

Keeping anniversary content on the device limits its exposure to us, but no device, backup, or electronic system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and Apple account.

If a future version adds cloud sync, accounts, analytics, or another feature that changes how information is handled, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and provide notice through this page, the App, or release notes when appropriate.
