Advanced Iridium Rod Unlock and Purchase
Unlock / Fishing Mastery, Mastery Cave, and 25,000g Fish Shop rods
Advanced Iridium Rod is obtained after claiming Fishing Mastery. After that first rod, additional Advanced Iridium Rods can be purchased from Willy's Fish Shop for 25,000g.
Two Tackle Slot Rules
Mechanics / Bait plus two tackle slots and stacking exceptions
The rod can equip bait and two tackles at once. Most tackle effects stack, but two Sonar Bobbers or two Curiosity Lures do not add extra benefit, so pair duplicate tackles only when the effect truly stacks.
Challenge Bait Route
Bait / Fishing Mastery recipe, Bone Fragments, Moss, and triple perfect catches
Challenge Bait unlocks from Fishing Mastery and crafts 5 bait from 5 Bone Fragments and 2 Moss. A perfect catch yields 3 fish, but each time the fish leaves the bar the catch count drops by one.
Golden Fishing Treasure Chest Route
Treasure / Fishing Mastery, 25% golden chest base chance, Luck, and Special Charm
After Fishing Mastery, fishing treasure chests may become golden. The base chance is 25%, daily Luck can move it by up to 10%, and Special Charm adds 2.5%, making treasure builds much more valuable.

Routes / Trout Derby, SquidFest, fish frenzies, Bait Maker, and multi-catch pressure
Advanced Iridium Rod shines when time is valuable: Trout Derby, SquidFest, Fish Frenzies, and Bait Maker loops. Use the second tackle slot to balance bite speed, control, treasure, or quality.
Legendary Fish and Quality Builds
Advanced / Trap Bobber, Cork Bobber, Quality Bobber, Curiosity Lure, and perfect catch goals
For legendary fish, the second tackle slot can combine control and chance. For money or collection routes, Quality Bobber plus perfect catches can push fish quality higher, while treasure routes can trade control for chest value.
