Steel Axe Unlock
Access / Cindersap Forest northwest log and Steel Axe timing
Secret Woods is entered from northwest Cindersap Forest. The entrance log is the practical gate: upgrade to at least a Steel Axe before routing daily stumps, Old Master Cannoli, Woodskip, and Secret Woods forage.
Daily Hardwood Loop
Resource / Six Large Stumps, 12 Hardwood per day, and lower hidden passages
The Secret Woods contains six Large Stumps that regrow daily for 12 Hardwood total. Four are visible in the upper woods, while two sit in the lower area reached through covered passages.
Old Master Cannoli Stardrop
Stardrop / Sweet Gem Berry, Rare Seed, Fall timing, and multiplayer reward
Old Master Cannoli asks for the sweetest taste. Give the statue a Sweet Gem Berry grown from Rare Seed to receive a Stardrop once; in multiplayer, one berry gives every player the Stardrop.
Seasonal Forage Calendar
Foraging / Spring mushrooms, Summer Fiddlehead Fern, Fall mushrooms, and Winter Holly
Secret Woods forage changes by season: Spring mixes Wild Horseradish, Morel, and Common Mushroom; Summer centers on Fiddlehead Fern and Red Mushroom; Fall is mushroom-heavy; Winter produces Holly.
Woodskip Pond
Fishing / Woodskip, Carp, rainy Catfish, Wall Basket, and Specialty Fish Bundle
The southwest pond is the main non-Forest-Farm Woodskip route. Fish here in any season for Woodskip and Carp, with Catfish possible on rainy days and Wall Basket as a unique fishing pickup.
Bear's Knowledge
Quest / Secret Note #23, Maple Syrup, sunny 6am-7pm cutscene, and berry price
After reading Secret Note #23, bring Maple Syrup into the Secret Woods between 6am and 7pm on a sunny day to trigger the bear cutscene and obtain Bear's Knowledge, permanently raising Salmonberry and Blackberry sell prices.
Slimes and Mahogany Seeds
Combat / Secret Woods Slimes, Mahogany Seeds, and early Hardwood scaling
Secret Woods Slimes attack the player and can drop Mahogany Seeds. This makes the woods a small combat loop that feeds later Hardwood tree farms, especially when daily stumps are not enough.
Lost Items Shop
Shop / 1.6.9 hidden shop, unique item recovery, and 10,000g buybacks
After an eligible unique unlocked item is lost, a hidden Secret Woods shop can appear overnight behind the fallen column. It sells one-of-a-kind replacements for 10,000g each.
