Stardew Valley Skull Cavern Database
Skull Cavern unlocks, deep-dive routes, luck days, staircases, bombs, iridium, treasure rooms, floor 100, Qi quests, and dangerous mode planning.
Unlock and Prep Route
Access / Bus repair, Skull Key, desert access, food, bombs, and inventory space
Repair the Bus, reach the bottom of The Mines for the Skull Key, then treat the first desert day as a supply and scouting route rather than a reckless deep dive.
Deep Dive Luck Day
Daily route / Luck, early arrival, bombs, shafts, and fast descent
Use high-luck days, early Desert access, coffee or speed food, and bombs to descend quickly before spending time on ore clusters.
Staircase and Jade Economy
Resource setup / Crystalariums, Jade, Desert Trader Sundays, and skip floors
Turn Crystalariums into Jade production, then trade Jade for Staircases on Sundays so dangerous floors, slow layouts, and floor-100 pushes become controllable.
Bombs and Explosives Route
Mining speed / Bombs, Mega Bombs, Explosive Ammo, ore clusters, and Mummies
Bombs convert dense rock floors into ladders, ore, geodes, and time savings, while also permanently finishing knocked-down Mummies.
Iridium and Prismatic Shard Route
Loot target / Deep floors, Iridium Nodes, Mystic Stones, Purple Slimes, and treasure rooms
For iridium and rare drops, descending rapidly is usually stronger than over-mining shallow floors because iridium chances improve deeper in the cavern.
Treasure Rooms and Chest Loot
Rare loot / Treasure rooms, floor 100 chest, level 200/300 chests, Auto-Petter, trinkets, and Golden Animal Cracker
Treasure rooms turn deep dives into rare-item hunts. Version 1.6 expanded chest rewards and added extra guaranteed chest layers.
Floor 100 and Mr. Qi Route
Milestone / Secret Note route, floor 100, health, shafts, and staircases
Floor 100 is a major Skull Cavern milestone. Plan it like a timed descent: early arrival, stair stack, speed, luck, and enough health to survive shafts.
Qi Challenge and Skull Cavern Invasion
Late game / Qi's Walnut Room, 25/40 Qi Gem rewards, dangerous monsters, Radioactive Nodes, and hard-mode statue
After Qi's Walnut Room opens, Skull Cavern becomes a repeatable challenge space for floor-100 runs, dangerous monsters, Radioactive Nodes, and Qi Gem rewards.
