Stardew Valley Anvil and Mini-Forge

Anvil and Mini-Forge guide for Combat Mastery crafting, 50 Iron Bars, trinket rerolls, 3 Iridium Bars per Anvil use, reforge exceptions, Mini-Forge recipe, Dragon Teeth, Iron Bars, Gold Bars, Iridium Bars, Cinder Shards, Volcano Forge replacement, and home forge layout planning.

Quick facts

Anvil unlocks from Combat Mastery, costs 50 Iron Bars, and rerolls eligible trinkets for 3 Iridium Bars per use.
Basilisk Paw and Magic Hair Gel cannot be re-forged on the Anvil.
Mini-Forge unlocks from Combat Mastery, costs Dragon Teeth plus Iron, Gold, and Iridium Bars, and acts exactly like the Volcano Forge anywhere it is placed.

Separate rerolling from collecting

The Anvil is strongest after a save has real trinket candidates. Farm trinkets first, then spend Iridium Bars on the pieces that improve the current combat route.

  • Prioritize Fairy Box, Ice Rod, Magic Quiver, Parrot Egg, or Golden Spur when their stat range matters.
  • Skip Basilisk Paw and Magic Hair Gel because they cannot be re-forged.
  • Keep enough Iridium Bars for tools, Heavy Furnace batches, and other late-game crafts before rerolling aggressively.

Turn Forge work into a home station

Mini-Forge saves Volcano trips and makes weapon forging, ring combining, enchantment, and Galaxy gear sessions easier to organize near farm storage.

  • Store Cinder Shards, Dragon Teeth, Galaxy Souls, gems, and Prismatic Shards nearby.
  • Use the station before Skull Cavern, dangerous mines, or Volcano routes.
  • Let Volcano trips focus on gathering shards instead of managing every upgrade on island time.
