Getting Started
Farm setup, first week priorities, skills, energy, and early gold choices.
- The game is open-ended, so money, bundles, relationships, and exploration can be advanced in different orders.
- Each season lasts 28 days, which makes planting deadlines more important than raw crop price.
Crops
Seasonal planting notes, regrow crops, bundle crops, and planner data.
- Most crops only grow in their listed season and wither when the season changes after day 28.
- Multi-season crops such as Corn, Sunflower, Wheat, Coffee Bean, and Ancient Fruit can continue across valid seasons.
Seed Spots
Hoeable Seed Spot rules, date windows, Carrot, Summer Squash, Broccoli, Powdermelon, Raccoon Wife trades, Mystery Boxes, and winter crop routing.
- Seed Spots are dug with the Hoe and give 2-3 seeds based on the active date window.
- The four 1.6 Seed Spot crops are Carrot, Summer Squash, Broccoli, and Powdermelon.
Fish
Season, weather, location, time windows, and fish behavior shortcuts.
- Fish availability can depend on season, time, weather, and location.
- The fishing mini-game uses behavior types such as Mixed, Smooth, Sinker, Floater, and Dart.
Villagers
Gift rules, birthday rhythm, loved gifts, and relationship planning.
- Villagers follow daily routines, so location changes by time, weather, and season.
- Gift preferences differ by character; loved gifts are the fastest route when saved for birthdays.
Friendship & Marriage
Friendship points, decay, gifts, birthdays, bouquets, marriage, Krobus roommate route, children, divorce, and spouse Stardrop planning.
- Each heart is 250 friendship points, and the social tab tracks hearts, gift boxes, and learned preferences.
- Marriage candidates cap at 8 hearts until a Bouquet unlocks the ninth and tenth hearts.
Community Center
Bundle route planning, room rewards, and collection checklist ideas.
- Completing bundles restores rooms in the Community Center and grants rewards.
- After all bundles are complete, the restored Community Center ceremony can unlock Local Legend and the Stardew Hero Trophy.
Remixed Bundles
Advanced save option, permanent bundle rules, random candidate pools, and remix route preparation.
- Remixed Bundles are selected from Advanced Options when creating a new save.
- Rooms can contain permanent bundles and random candidate bundles; a candidate may or may not appear in a given save.
The Mines
Spring 5 unlock, 120-floor elevator progression, reward floors, ores, monsters, Skull Key, Shrine of Challenge, and dangerous mines routing.
- The Mines open on Spring 5 Year 1 after the landslide is cleared.
- There are 120 floors, and the elevator saves every reached multiple of 5.
The Sewers
Rusty Key unlock after 60 Museum donations, Krobus shop, Stardrop, Statue Of Uncertainty, Mutant Bug Lair, Dark Talisman, and sewer fishing.
- The Sewers unlock after receiving the Rusty Key for 60 Museum donations.
- Krobus' shop is always open and sells rare fixed stock, rotating stock, one Stardrop, and the Return Scepter.
Secret Woods
Steel Axe unlock, daily Hardwood, Old Master Cannoli Sweet Gem Berry Stardrop, Woodskip pond, seasonal forage, Bear's Knowledge, Slimes, Mahogany Seeds, and Lost Items Shop.
- Secret Woods is entered from northwest Cindersap Forest after clearing the large log with at least a Steel Axe.
- Six daily Large Stumps provide 12 Hardwood, including two hidden lower stumps reached through covered passages.
Witch's Hut
Dark Talisman and Goblin Problem route through Witch's Swamp, Void Mayonnaise for the Henchman, Magic Ink, Wizard buildings, dark shrines, and swamp fishing.
- The Witch's Hut chain starts after completing the Community Center or Joja development path and triggering the Wizard at the Railroad.
- Dark Talisman opens the Witch's Swamp, and Goblin Problem requires giving Void Mayonnaise to the Henchman.
Skull Cavern
Desert access, Skull Key, bombs, staircases, luck, iridium, treasure rooms, floor 100, Qi quests, and dangerous mode.
- Skull Cavern is in Calico Desert and requires the Skull Key from the bottom of The Mines.
- Unlike The Mines, Skull Cavern has no elevator; every visit starts again from floor 1.
Secret Notes
Magnifying Glass unlock, Secret Notes, gift clues, map puzzles, Cryptic Note, Ginger Island Journal Scraps, and Golden Walnut hints.
- Secret Notes unlock after the Magnifying Glass is obtained from A Winter Mystery in Winter.
- Secret Notes can reveal gift preferences, puzzle routes, map clues, and the Cryptic Note floor-100 route.
Journal Scraps
Ginger Island Journal Scrap order, no Magnifying Glass requirement, Golden Walnut dig spots, Mermaid puzzle, Volcano Forge hints, Ostrich Egg route, and ring-combining clues.
- Journal Scraps are Ginger Island collectibles and appear in order from #1 through #11.
- The Magnifying Glass is not required to obtain or use Journal Scraps.
Lost Items Shop
Secret Woods 1.6.9 hidden shop route for buying back unique unlocked items, 10,000g flat prices, overnight appearance, multiplayer access, Stardew Hero Trophy, Soda Machine, spouse-event items, arcade systems, and one-of-a-kind furniture recovery.
- The Lost Items Shop appears overnight in the Secret Woods after an eligible unique item has been unlocked and then lost.
- Every item sold by the shop costs 10,000g.
Movie Theater
Missing Bundle or Joja unlock, movie tickets, 8-film cycle, concessions, friendship points, Crane Game, and Two Thumbs Up cleanup.
- The Movie Theater opens after Community Center plus Missing Bundle, or after the Joja upgrade route and a 500,000g purchase.
- A Movie Ticket costs 1,000g, and the player can watch a movie once each week.
Skills & Professions
Farming, Mining, Foraging, Fishing, Combat, profession branches, Statue of Uncertainty, and Mastery planning.
- Stardew Valley has five main skills: Farming, Mining, Foraging, Fishing, and Combat.
- Each skill has level 5 and level 10 profession choices, and level 10 choices depend on the level 5 branch.
Farm Tools
Tool upgrade order, Blacksmith costs, axe, pickaxe, hoe, watering can, rods, pans, scythes, and enchantment planning.
- Blacksmith tool upgrades take two days and must proceed in material order: Copper, Steel, Gold, then Iridium.
- Axe, Pickaxe, Hoe, Watering Can, Pans, and Fishing Rods can receive Forge enchantments in late game.
Calendar & Festivals
Birthdays, festivals, seasonal events, bookseller windows, and route timing.
- Each Stardew Valley season has 28 days, with birthdays and festivals placed on fixed calendar dates.
- The Calendar shows birthdays and festivals for the current season, and 1.6 added new seasonal events such as Desert Festival, Trout Derby, and SquidFest.
Festivals
Festival dates, entry windows, shop rules, friendship effects, rewards, and route notes.
- Mayor Lewis sends a letter before each major festival, and a pop-up announces when the festival begins.
- Most festivals lock homes and shops for the day, but Desert Festival, Trout Derby, SquidFest, and Night Market keep normal time moving.
Fishing Festivals
Trout Derby and SquidFest routes for Golden Tags, Rainbow Trout, Squid targets, tier rewards, bait, tackle, animal care, and time-passing festival days.
- Trout Derby runs on Summer 20-21 in Cindersap Forest and uses Golden Tags from Rainbow Trout catches.
- SquidFest runs on Winter 12-13 at the Beach and uses a daily Squid counter for copper, iron, gold, and iridium reward tiers.
Bait Maker
Fishing Level 6 machine route for Targeted Bait, fish-specific bait output, hook chance rules, crab pot effects, festival prep, and wrong-season trash risk.
- The Bait Maker is crafted after Fishing Level 6 and turns one fish into 5-10 pieces of that fish's Targeted Bait.
- Targeted Bait improves the chance of hooking its named fish only when that fish is catchable in the current conditions.
Bobber Machine
Fish Shop 1.6 cosmetic progression route for Bobber Machine styles, randomized bobbers, fishing line colors, 39 unlocks, 2-new-fish milestones, 76-fish completion, Lucky Purple Shorts bonus style, and fish collection planning.
- The Bobber Machine is on the right side of Willy's Fish Shop.
- A new bobber style unlocks every time the player catches 2 new fish.
Mini-Shipping Bin
Mini-Shipping Bin route for Special Order rewards, Crop Order, Pierre's Prime Produce, Qi Walnut Room 60 Qi Gem purchases, 9-slot nightly shipping, removable same-day contents, off-farm placement, Full Shipment routing, and farm layout convenience.
- Mini-Shipping Bin can be obtained from Special Order reward routes and bought from Qi's Walnut Room for 60 Qi Gems in 1.6.4+.
- It has 9 slots and ships items overnight like the farm Shipping Bin.
Tent Kit
1.6 Tent Kit route for Foraging Level 8 crafting, 10 Hardwood, 25 Fiber, 1 Cloth, outdoor sleeping, 3x2 placement, next-day festival restrictions, Trout Derby prize, Ginger Island jungle box, Island Field Office backup, multiplayer use, and late-night route saves.
- Tent Kit is crafted after Foraging Level 8 with 10 Hardwood, 25 Fiber, and 1 Cloth.
- It can only be used outdoors, saves the game like a bed, and wakes the player at 6am in the same location.
Fish Frenzies
1.6 fishing event route for Beach, Cindersap Forest, Pelican Town, and Mountain frenzies, unlock conditions, 1% bubble upgrades, 90-minute minimums, targeted fish pools, bait, tackle, festival exceptions, and profitable response plans.
- Fish Frenzies can start before 11 PM after either 4 days plus 3 caught fish or 15 total days.
- Eligible bubbles at The Beach, Cindersap Forest, Pelican Town, or The Mountain have a 1% chance to become a frenzy.
Fish Smoker
Riverland Farm starter machine, Willy recipe, fish plus Coal processing, 50-minute smoked fish route, profession math, coal planning, and high-value catch priority.
- The Fish Smoker turns any fish plus 1 Coal into Smoked Fish in 50 in-game minutes.
- Smoked Fish keeps the original fish quality and doubles the fish sell value before profession planning.
Dehydrator
1.6 artisan equipment route for Pierre's 10,000g recipe, Mushroom Cave starter machine, Prize Machine source, 5-fruit batches, mushrooms, Grapes into Raisins, Dried Fruit value, Dried Mushrooms, Junimo Hut productivity, and crop surplus processing.
- Pierre sells the Dehydrator recipe for 10,000g, and Mushroom Cave farms receive a starter Dehydrator.
- Dehydrator processes valid 5-item batches in 5 in-game hours.
Advanced Iridium Rod
Fishing Mastery rod route, bait plus two tackle slots, Fish Shop 25,000g replacement rods, Challenge Bait, Golden Fishing Treasure Chests, tackle stacking, legendary fish, festivals, and treasure fishing.
- Advanced Iridium Rod is obtained from Fishing Mastery, and extra rods can later be bought from Willy's Fish Shop for 25,000g.
- It can equip bait and two tackles at once; most tackle effects stack, but two Sonar Bobbers or two Curiosity Lures do not add extra benefit.
Animals & Barns
Coop and barn animals, hay planning, friendship, produce, and upgrade order.
- Farm animals produce goods when cared for, fed, and housed correctly.
- Winter requires hay planning because grass does not spread normally and outdoor feeding is limited.
Fish Ponds
Roe, rare pond produce, quest items, capacity gates, Golden Animal Crackers, and pond selection.
- Fish Ponds are built by Robin for 5,000g, 200 Stone, 5 Seaweed, and 5 Green Algae.
- Most ponds can grow to 10 fish after population quests, while Legendary Fish and Legendary Fish II ponds stay at 1.
Farm Buildings
Robin buildings, Wizard buildings, animal housing, storage, fish ponds, sheds, obelisks, and farm layout planning.
- Most farm buildings are purchased from Robin at the Carpenter's Shop, while magical buildings come from the Wizard after Goblin Problem.
- Robin buildings can generally be moved, demolished, and painted from eligible building menus.
Community Upgrades
Late-game Robin Community Upgrade route for fully upgraded Farmhouse, Community Center or Joja completion, Pam and Penny's 500,000g house, 950 Wood, 300,000g Town Shortcuts, festival bypasses, horse-passable routes, and map cleanup.
- Community Upgrades unlock after the Farmhouse is fully upgraded and the Community Center or Joja Warehouse route is complete.
- The first upgrade builds a new house for Pam and Penny for 500,000g and 950 Wood, with three days of construction.
Big Chests
Big Chest, Big Stone Chest, Stone Chest, 70-slot storage, Carpenter's Shop, Dwarf recipe, Robin's Resource Rush, upgrade rules, color coding, and farm storage layout.
- Big Chest and Big Stone Chest store 70 different item types, almost doubling the 36-slot capacity of regular and stone chests.
- Big Chest recipe comes from the Carpenter's Shop; Big Stone Chest requires the Stone Chest route and the Dwarf recipe.
Artisan Goods
Kegs, jars, cheese, mayonnaise, honey, processing time, and profession planning.
- Artisan Goods are made with processing equipment and can take hours or days of in-game time.
- The Artisan profession adds 40% value to most artisan goods, except Oil and Coffee.
Cooking & Recipes
Recipe unlocks, ingredients, buffs, gifting, and Gourmet Chef preparation.
- Cooking requires a kitchen or cookout kit and a learned recipe.
- Recipes come from TV, shops, friendship, skill levels, special orders, and late-game sources.
Museum Collection
Artifacts, minerals, rewards, collection achievements, and donation layout tips.
- The Museum accepts artifacts and minerals and grants rewards as the collection grows.
- Museum achievements include donating 40 different items and completing the collection.
Ginger Island
Golden Walnuts, island unlocks, Qi's Walnut Room, and late-game routing.
- Golden Walnuts are the main island unlock currency.
- Qi's Walnut Room is on Ginger Island and contains a Perfection Tracker, special order board, and Qi Gem shop.
Casino
Calico Desert Casino access through The Mysterious Qi, Club Card, Qi Coins, CalicoJack, Slot Machines, shop prizes, and Statue Of Endless Fortune planning.
- The Casino is reached through the back door of the Oasis after completing The Mysterious Qi and receiving the Club Card.
- Qi Coins cost 10g each, are used for Casino games and shop items, and cannot be converted back to gold.
The Mysterious Qi
The Mysterious Qi quest route for Battery Pack in the Bus Stop tunnel, Rainbow Shell at the Railroad box, 10 Beets in Mayor Lewis' fridge, Solar Essence for the Desert sand dragon, farmhouse lumber pile, Club Card, Bouncer, and Casino access.
- The Mysterious Qi starts by placing a Battery Pack in the lock-box inside The Tunnel west of the Bus Stop.
- The middle clues require a Rainbow Shell, 10 Beets, and one Solar Essence.
Night Market
Winter 15-17 Night Market route for 5pm-2am Beach access, Submarine deep-sea fishing, Mermaid Show Pearl, Magic Shop Boat stock, Desert Trader Coffee, Lupini paintings, Traveling Cart, Rarecrow replacements, and late-night farm teleport.
- Night Market runs on Winter 15, 16, and 17 from 5pm to 2am at the Beach.
- Time continues, shops and homes stay open, and animals still need normal care during the event.
Grandpa's Shrine
Grandpa's Evaluation route for Year 3, four candles, 12-point target, Diamond re-evaluation, Statue Of Perfection, daily Iridium Ore, achievements, friendship, keys, and Community Center scoring.
- Grandpa evaluates the farm at the start of Year 3 and lights one to four candles around Grandpa's Shrine.
- A score of 12 or higher lights all four candles and unlocks the Statue Of Perfection reward.
Stardrops
All seven Stardrop sources for maximum energy, Fair Star Tokens, Mines floor 100, spouse or Krobus roommate, Old Master Cannoli, Krobus shop, Master Angler, Museum donation, Mystery Of The Stardrops, and Perfection.
- Each Stardrop permanently increases maximum energy by 34, from the starting 270 up to 508 after all seven.
- The seven sources are spread across festival tokens, mining, relationship progress, Secret Woods, The Sewers, fishing completion, and Museum completion.
Rarecrows & Deluxe Scarecrow
All 8 Rarecrow locations, Fair, Spirit's Eve, Casino, Traveling Cart, Festival of Ice, Flower Dance, Dwarf, Museum rewards, Night Market replacements, Deluxe Scarecrow recipe letter, range, and crop protection planning.
- There are 8 Rarecrows, and collecting all of them unlocks the Deluxe Scarecrow recipe letter.
- Regular Scarecrows and Rarecrows protect a radius of 8 tiles, while Deluxe Scarecrows double the radius to 16 tiles.
Dwarf Scrolls
Dwarf Scroll I-IV locations, tilling floors, monster drops, Museum donation route, Dwarvish Translation Guide, Dwarf shop access, Volcano Dwarf communication, Graveyard reading, and 1.6 Special Items tab.
- Donating all four Dwarf Scrolls to the Museum unlocks the Dwarvish Translation Guide.
- The guide lets the player understand the Mines Dwarf, the Volcano Dungeon Dwarf, and the rightmost Graveyard gravestone.
Wizard Buildings
Magic Ink unlock, Junimo Hut, Earth Obelisk, Water Obelisk, Desert Obelisk, Island Obelisk, Gold Clock, Wizard Tower building book, perfection requirements, 13,000,000g planning, materials, routing value, and Gold Clock behavior.
- Wizard Buildings unlock after completing the Dark Talisman and Goblin Problem quest chain and returning Magic Ink.
- Perfection requires Earth, Water, Desert, and Island Obelisks for 4%, plus the Gold Clock for 10%.
Special Items & Powers
Stardew Valley 1.6 Special Items & Powers tab, former wallet unlocks, Forest Magic, Dwarvish Translation Guide, Rusty Key, Club Card, Special Charm, Skull Key, Magnifying Glass, Dark Talisman, Magic Ink, Bear's Knowledge, Spring Onion Mastery, Key To The Town, book powers, and mastery powers.

- There are 130 Golden Walnuts across Ginger Island activities, puzzles, hidden paths, fishing, farming, combat, mining, and rewards.
- Qi's Walnut Room opens after the Golden Walnut threshold, and all parrot rewards together cost 116 walnuts.
Island Farmhouse
Ginger Island Farmhouse repair for 20 Golden Walnuts, Island Farm base, year-round crops, shipping bin, mailbox, Farm Obelisk, Gourmand Frog, and long island-day routing.
- The Island Farmhouse costs 20 Golden Walnuts after Island West is unlocked.
- Repair adds an island bed, kitchen, Tropical Bed for each player, and a Shipping Bin outside.
Gourmand Frog
Ginger Island Gourmand Frog crop puzzle after Island Farmhouse repair, Melon, Wheat, Garlic order, unharvested crop rules, 15 Golden Walnuts, and troubleshooting.
- The Gourmand Frog cave appears after the Island Farmhouse is repaired on Ginger Island.
- The crop order is Melon, then Wheat, then Garlic, each mature and unharvested on the Island Farm.
Gem Birds
Ginger Island Gem Birds puzzle for rainy island days, north, south, east, west bird locations, shrine pedestals, five possible gems, Rain Totem planning, guessing, and 5 Golden Walnuts.
- On rainy Ginger Island days, one Gem Bird appears in one island region and drops a gem.
- The four shrine pedestals map to north, east, south, and west island regions.
Ginger Island Puzzles
Gem Birds, Gourmand Frog, Mermaid Flute Blocks, Pirate Cove darts, Green Whack-a-Mole, Colored Crystals, Banana Shrine, hidden walnuts, and island puzzle routing.
- Many Ginger Island puzzles are Golden Walnut sources and should be routed by island region.
- Gem Birds and Mermaid both depend on Ginger Island rain, while Pirate Cove darts require even, non-rainy nights after 8pm.
Island Trader
Ginger Island barter shop for 10 Golden Walnut unlock after Island Farmhouse, tropical seeds, saplings, recipes, rotating decor, Golden Coconut loop, Galaxy Soul last-day stock, and resource stockpiles.
- The Island Trader is on Ginger Island North and is always open once unlocked.
- The trader unlocks for 10 Golden Walnuts after the Island Farmhouse has been purchased.
Island Resort
Ginger Island Beach Resort unlock for 20 Golden Walnuts after Island Farmhouse, villager beach visits, resort open/close control, Gus bar, Island Southeast, Mermaid puzzle, Pirate Cove, and Darts routing.
- The Beach Resort costs 20 Golden Walnuts after the Island Farmhouse is repaired.
- When open, villagers can visit from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on non-raining days that are not festival days.
Parrot Express
Ginger Island fast travel unlock for 10 Golden Walnuts, five station routes, Farm unlock location, Dig Site bridge dependency, and Golden Walnut cleanup routing.
- Parrot Express unlocks for 10 Golden Walnuts at the farm-side station north of the Island Farm.
- The network connects Volcano, Farm, Dig Site, Jungle, and Docks, with Dig Site requiring the bridge repair first.
The Pirate's Wife
Birdie's Ginger Island trade chain from War Memento through Kent, Gus, Sandy, George, Wizard, Willy, and Pirate's Locket for Fairy Dust recipe and 5 Golden Walnuts.
- The Pirate's Wife starts by speaking to Birdie on Island West.
- The trade chain runs Birdie to Kent, Gus, Sandy, George, the Wizard, Willy, and back to Birdie.
Golden Joja Parrot
1.6 Ginger Island shortcut for buying every remaining Golden Walnut at 10,000g per missing nut, northwest Volcano location, overnight delivery, true Ginger Island Experience warning, Field Office alternate rewards, and 129/130 cleanup.
- The Golden Joja Parrot was added in 1.6 and is found west of the Volcano on Ginger Island.
- It costs 10,000g per unfound Golden Walnut and adds all remaining walnuts after the player sleeps.
Qi's Walnut Room
100/101 walnut threshold, Perfection Tracker, Monday Qi orders, Qi Gems, vending machine rewards, Golden Walnut exchange, and end-game cleanup.
- Qi's Walnut Room is on Ginger Island West and opens after the Golden Walnut threshold.
- The room contains the Perfection Tracker, Qi Special Orders Board, and a Qi Gem vending machine.
Perfection Waivers
1.6 Fizz route for buying 1% perfection waivers at 500,000g each after checking the Perfection Tracker, watery cave location, Joja Special Services letter, real checklist vs waiver math, Gold Clock comparison, and Summit unlock decisions.
- Fizz appears after the player interacts with the Perfection Tracker in Qi's Walnut Room and then receives his letter.
- Each Perfection Waiver costs 500,000g and grants 1% progress toward Perfection.
Golden Chickens
Post-perfection Golden Egg and Golden Chicken route for Marnie's 100,000g eggs, Qi Walnut Room 100 Qi Gem eggs, Golden Witch events, fishing treasure chests, Big Coop incubation, daily Golden Eggs, 3 gold-quality Mayonnaise output, and Golden Animal Cracker planning.
- Golden Eggs become available after Perfection has been achieved.
- The first Golden Egg can come from Marnie's Ranch, Qi's Walnut Room, a Golden Witch event, or a Fishing Treasure Chest.
Statue Of True Perfection
Post-perfection Prismatic Shard engine for claiming the Statue Of True Perfection from Qi's Walnut Room, daily shard pickup, multiplayer one-statue rules, Lost Items Shop 10,000g replacement, Grandpa's Evaluation timing, and Forge or gift routing.
- The Statue Of True Perfection is obtained by interacting with the Perfection Tracker after reaching 100% Perfection.
- It produces one Prismatic Shard every day.
Qi Special Orders
Walnut Room order rotation, Qi Gems, Qi's Crop, Qi's Cuisine, Qi's Kindness, Hungry Challenge, Junimo Kart, combat routes, fish routes, and color stockpiles.
- Qi Special Orders appear on the Walnut Room board after the Golden Walnut threshold opens the room.
- The board refreshes with two choices on Mondays, and most orders reward Qi Gems rather than ordinary gold.
Island Field Office

- Heavy Furnace unlocks from Mining Mastery and is crafted with 2 Furnaces, 3 Iron Bars, and 50 Stone.
- Ore batches consume 25 ore and 3 Coal, then output 5 or 6 bars with equal odds.
Mastery Cave
Level 10 in all five skills, mastery point costs, Farming, Mining, Foraging, Fishing, and Combat mastery rewards, unlock order, and 1.6 late-game routing.
- The Mastery Cave opens in Cindersap Forest after the player reaches level 10 in all five skills.
- Mastery points come from excess skill XP after all skills are level 10, and masteries can be claimed in any order.
