Stardew Valley Combat Gear Guide
Combat gear guide for weapons, rings, footwear, Galaxy weapons, Infinity upgrades, Forge ring combinations, and Skull Cavern loadouts.
Quick facts
Weapons include swords, daggers, clubs, and slingshots; weapon choice changes special attacks and combat rhythm.
Rings grant passive effects and can be combined at the Volcano Forge after Ginger Island access.
Footwear adds defense and immunity, making boots a major survival layer in Skull Cavern, dangerous mines, and Volcano Dungeon.
Loadout layers
A combat build is not just one weapon. The weapon handles damage, rings handle passive utility, footwear handles defense or immunity, and trinkets add late-game Combat Mastery effects.
- Galaxy Sword is the common jump from mid-game weapons into Skull Cavern comfort.
- Iridium Band, Burglar's Ring, Slime Charmer Ring, Napalm Ring, and Lucky Ring are the core ring planning set.
- Space Boots are a free late-Mines baseline before rare Volcano footwear appears.
Forge planning
The Volcano Forge turns combat gear into a build system. Spend Cinder Shards on a weapon you will keep, then combine rings only after deciding whether the route needs luck, loot, safety, explosions, or utility.
- Infinity weapons require Galaxy gear, Galaxy Souls, and repeated Forge upgrades.
- Ring combinations preserve both ring effects in one slot.
- Combat Mastery later adds the Mini-Forge and trinket slot to the equipment plan.
