Journal Scraps work best as a sequential island notebook. Read each scrap immediately so the next found scrap advances the chain and the relevant clue can be acted on.
- Farm scraps only on Ginger Island activities, not mainland note routes.
- Keep a Hoe, Slingshot, and island puzzle materials available during cleanup.
- Use the collection page to verify which numbered clue is active.
Convert clues into progress
The valuable scraps are practical route markers. They point to Golden Walnuts, dig rewards, Mermaid puzzle setup, Volcano Forge mechanics, Ostrich Egg progression, and ring combining.
- Route scraps #4, #6, and #10 as dig-day rewards after they are read.
- Use scrap #9 for the rainy Island Southeast Mermaid puzzle.
