Stardew Valley Volcano Dungeon and Forge
Volcano Dungeon guide for Ginger Island volcano access, 10-floor routing, Golden Walnut caps, Dwarf shop, Cinder Shards, Forge gem upgrades, enchantments, combined rings, and Infinity weapons.
Quick facts
The Volcano Dungeon has 10 floors and the Forge is on floor 10.
A Watering Can is used to cross lava until the permanent parrot bridge is purchased.
The Forge upgrades weapons, enchants tools and weapons, combines rings, changes weapon appearance, and upgrades Galaxy weapons into Infinity weapons.
Dungeon route
Volcano trips are different from Mines and Skull Cavern runs. Floors advance through doorways, some doors are gated by buttons, and floor 5 acts as the natural checkpoint before the final Forge push.
- Bring Watering Can access until the permanent volcano bridge is built.
- Use floor 5 for the Dwarf shop, Watering Can refill, crates, and shortcut decisions.
- Track Golden Walnut caps separately for rocks, enemies, crates, and first chest rewards.
Forge spending
The Forge turns Cinder Shards into long-term gear value. Spend first on weapons and rings that will carry Skull Cavern, Qi quests, monster goals, and late-game Ginger Island routes.
- Weapon gem forging costs 10, 15, and 20 Cinder Shards across three levels.
- Random enchantments cost a Prismatic Shard and 20 Cinder Shards.
- Infinity weapons need three Galaxy Souls and 60 total Cinder Shards.
