Stardew Valley Grandpa's Shrine Guide

Grandpa's Shrine guide for Stardew Valley Grandpa's Evaluation, Year 3, four candles, 12-point scoring, Diamond re-evaluation, Statue Of Perfection, daily Iridium Ore, friendship, achievements, keys, and Community Center points.

Quick facts

Grandpa evaluates the farm at the start of Year 3 and lights one to four candles around Grandpa's Shrine.
A score of 12 or higher lights all four candles and unlocks the Statue Of Perfection reward.
Players can request re-evaluation later by placing a Diamond into Grandpa's Shrine.

Aim for 12 points

Grandpa's Evaluation has 21 available points, but only 12 are needed for four candles. A practical route mixes total earnings, skill levels, friendship, keys, and a few major achievements.

  • Use earnings and skill levels as passive progress while farming normally.
  • Add easy points from Skull Key, Rusty Key, villager hearts, and pet friendship.
  • Finish Community Center scoring only if the save is on that route.

Claim and retry cleanly

Four candles do not automatically hand over the reward. Interact with the shrine for the Statue Of Perfection, and use a Diamond later if the first evaluation misses four candles.

  • Interact with Grandpa's Shrine after all four candles are lit.
  • Place a Diamond into the shrine for re-evaluation after gaining more points.
  • Do not confuse the Statue Of Perfection with Qi's Statue Of True Perfection.
