Stardew Valley Trinkets Guide

Trinkets guide for Combat Mastery, Anvil rerolls, Skull Cavern drops, companion effects, Magic Hair Gel, and late-game combat builds.

Quick facts

Trinkets were introduced in Stardew Valley 1.6 and can be found after Combat Mastery is claimed.
There are 8 trinkets: Basilisk Paw, Fairy Box, Frog Egg, Golden Spur, Ice Rod, Magic Hair Gel, Magic Quiver, and Parrot Egg.
All trinkets except Basilisk Paw and Magic Hair Gel can be re-forged on an Anvil for 3 Iridium Bars per reroll.

Unlock and farm route

Trinkets belong to the late-game combat layer. Claim Combat Mastery first, then let normal monster runs, mine containers, and Skull Cavern treasure rooms feed the collection.

  • Magic Hair Gel is the exception because it is purchased during Desert Festival.
  • Trinkets do not stack, so one strong roll can define the whole combat route.
  • Each trinket sells for 1,000g at the Adventurer's Guild if it is not useful.

Anvil planning

The Anvil turns trinkets into a tuning system. Spend Iridium Bars only on pieces that fit the current build, because each reroll consumes bars and the output is random.

  • Fairy Box and Parrot Egg care about companion level.
  • Ice Rod and Magic Quiver have especially meaningful combat stat rolls.
  • Frog Egg color is cosmetic, while Golden Spur duration depends on critical-hit uptime.
