Stardew Valley Community Upgrades Guide

Community Upgrades guide for Stardew Valley Robin late-game projects, fully upgraded Farmhouse requirements, Community Center or Joja Warehouse completion, Pam and Penny's 500,000g house, 950 Wood, 300,000g Town Shortcuts, horse-passable routes, festival bypasses, Tide Pool access, and map navigation.

Quick facts

Community Upgrades unlock after the Farmhouse is fully upgraded and the Community Center or Joja Warehouse route is complete.
The first upgrade builds a new house for Pam and Penny for 500,000g and 950 Wood, with three days of construction.
The second upgrade costs 300,000g and adds town shortcuts around the Beach, Mountains, Town, Backwoods, and Adventurer's Guild.

Unlock Robin's late-game projects

Community Upgrades sit after the main town restoration arc. They are not ordinary farm buildings: they change Pelican Town and nearby route geometry once the player has a finished home and a restored community path.

  • Finish the third Farmhouse upgrade before checking the Carpenter's Shop.
  • Complete Community Center bundles or Joja Warehouse development.
  • In multiplayer, have the host player purchase the upgrade.

Use shortcuts as route compression

The shortcut upgrade looks cosmetic until daily routes become dense. Beach, Mountain, Museum, Bus Stop, tunnel, Backwoods, and Guild paths all save small chunks of time that add up during late-game errands.

  • Use Leah's cottage to Beach for festival setup bypasses and boat days.
  • Use the hidden Museum-to-Beach path for Tide Pool access and town cleanup.
  • Check which shortcuts are horse-passable before routing with the Stable.
