Stardew Valley Shops and Schedules

Shop schedule guide for opening hours, regular closures, festival locks, checkup days, Key to the Town changes, and merchant route planning.

Quick facts

Most homes and shops are locked on festival days that begin before 7pm.
Key to the Town changes several shop access windows, but not every shop gains useful counter access.
Shop exceptions such as Robin's Tuesday closure, Marnie's Monday-Tuesday closure, and Clint's post-Community-Center Friday closure shape weekly routes.

Weekly errand loops

A good shop route avoids crossing the map for one counter at a time. Pair Pierre, Blacksmith, Museum, Saloon, and Help Wanted routes in town; pair Robin, mines, lake fish, Linus, and Adventurer's Guild in the Mountain.

  • Buy seeds and animal supplies before daytime festivals.
  • Start Blacksmith tool upgrades when rain, sprinklers, or Winter can cover the missing tool.
  • Use the calendar to avoid birthday checkup exceptions for Marnie, Robin, Willy, Gus, and Clint.

Late-game shop access

Late-game shops matter as much as early counters. Desert Trader, Bookseller, Wizard buildings, Movie Theater, and Traveling Cart rolls all become route targets once basic farming is stable.

  • Plan Desert Trader trades before Skull Cavern days.
  • Keep gold ready for Bookseller dates and catalogue appearances.
  • Use Night Market and Desert Festival as extra merchant windows, not normal days.
