Stardew Valley Special Orders
Special Orders guide for the town board, Qi board, Monday refreshes, time limits, fresh item rules, recipe rewards, Qi Gems, repeat rules, and preparation strategy.
Quick facts
Special Orders add larger timed objectives compared with ordinary Help Wanted tasks and refresh on a weekly board rhythm.
Town orders can unlock recipes and utility items such as Fiber Seeds, Geode Crusher, Bone Mill, Solar Panel, Quality Bobber, and Coffee Maker.
Qi's Walnut Room has its own special order board with Qi Gem rewards and tougher late-game challenges after the Golden Walnut threshold.
Accept with preparation
Special orders are easiest when your farm already produces the target resource. Accepting a huge objective without the route ready can burn a week.
- Check season, crop days, storage, tools, machines, and travel access before accepting.
- Distinguish stored support items from objectives that must be freshly collected, cooked, grown, or shipped after accepting.
- For Qi orders, prepare food, bombs, staircases, island access, farm space, and shipping-bin discipline.
Board strategy
Town orders are great for mid-game structure; Qi orders are late-game stress tests that reward specialized preparation.
- Choose orders that reinforce what you were already doing that week.
- Leave mismatched orders for later rather than warping the whole farm around them.
- Track one-time recipe rewards, repeat gold, and Qi Gem value separately.
