Stardew Valley Greenhouse Guide

Greenhouse guide for Pantry or Joja unlocks, 10x12 crop layout, sprinkler setups, Pressure Nozzles, Deluxe Retaining Soil, fruit trees, and premium crop routes.

Quick facts

The Greenhouse has a 10-row by 12-column crop area where crops can grow in any season.
With 6 Iridium Sprinklers, only 4 crop spaces are used by sprinklers, leaving 116 plantable tiles.
Up to 18 fruit trees can grow in the Greenhouse border area when spacing and decoration rules are respected.

Unlock and first layout

The Greenhouse is unlocked by completing Pantry bundles or buying the Joja Greenhouse development. Once open, the first job is reliable watering and a crop that keeps paying without seasonal resets.

  • Use Quality Sprinklers if Iridium Sprinklers are not ready yet.
  • Shift to Ancient Fruit, Starfruit, Pineapple, or other premium repeatable routes as seed supply grows.
  • Plant fruit trees around the border before the space fills with permanent decor or machines.

Late-game optimization

Late-game Greenhouse planning is about tile efficiency. Pressure Nozzles reduce sacrificed crop spaces, while Deluxe Retaining Soil can eliminate sprinklers after setup.

  • 4 Pressure Nozzle Iridium Sprinklers can leave 118 crop tiles.
  • 5 Pressure Nozzle Iridium Sprinklers can leave 119 crop tiles.
  • Deluxe Retaining Soil frees all 120 crop tiles but requires fertilizer setup.
