Stardew Valley Ginger Island Puzzles
Ginger Island puzzle guide for Gem Birds, Banana Shrine, Leo's hut tree, Gourmand Frog crops, Green Whack-a-Mole, Colored Crystals, Mermaid Flute Blocks, Pirate Cove darts, Stingray fishing, Gourmand Statue, hidden walnuts, and Golden Walnut cleanup.
Quick facts
Many Ginger Island puzzles are Golden Walnut sources and should be routed by island region.
Gem Birds and Mermaid both depend on Ginger Island rain, while Pirate Cove darts require even, non-rainy nights after 8pm.
Gourmand Frog asks for Melon, Wheat, and Garlic on the Island Farm, each mature and unharvested when shown.
Group puzzles by unlock
Ginger Island puzzle cleanup is easier when each unlock opens a cluster. Island East handles early jungle routes, Island West handles farm and cave puzzles, and the Beach Resort unlocks Island Southeast and Pirate Cove.
- Clear Banana Shrine, Leo's hut tree, jungle paths, and Gem Birds together.
- Clear Gourmand Frog, Green Whack-a-Mole, Colored Crystals, farm harvest walnuts, and west-side dig patterns together.
- After Beach Resort, route Mermaid, Pirate Cove darts, Pirate Cove dig, Stingray, Gourmand Statue, and Island Southeast tide-pool checks.
Bring the right tools
Most failed island sweeps happen because the player arrives without a needed item. Pack puzzle tools before spending the day walking between regions.
- Bring Banana, Hoe, Slingshot, Watering Can, fishing gear, and Flute Blocks when doing broad cleanup.
- Use island weather for rain checks, not the mainland forecast.
- Check no-hint puzzles before paying the Golden Joja Parrot for missing walnuts.
